Consumer News: Cruises are a step closer to returning and car prices are climbing

CNN– Are you ready to set sail? You could soon book and even board some cruise ships here in the U.S. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is letting cruise lines run trial voyages with volunteer passengers. The simulated voyages must have a capacity of 10% or more. Participants have to be vaccinated or get a doctor’s note saying they’re not in a high risk category for COVID-19. Cruise line officials say this is a step forward in allowing them to resume normal operation in U.S. waters.

ABC NEWS– Prices for new cars are skyrocketing around the country as supply plummets due to a shortage of essential computer chips. Some consumers are even paying more than the sticker price. ABC’s Gio Benitez has more on what to know before heading to the dealership.
