Weekend Anchor

Alexis Frazier joined the ABC Columbia news team in December 2016 as a Weekend Anchor/Reporter. Alexis is a proud Floridian, but she is happy to call South Carolina her new home. She graduated from Florida A&M University in the fall of 2013 with a degree in broadcast journalism.

Before calling South Carolina home she was an anchor, reporter, and producer in at another ABC affiliate Lufkin, TX.

Her first job in the industry was in Greenville, MS at WXVT. There she covered the funeral of the late B.B. King and several murder investigations. While at WXVT Alexis wore many hats; she reported throughout the week and was a one-man band during the weekend 10 p.m. newscast. Alexis produced, reported and anchored the weekend newscasts.

While in the Midlands Alexis has covered the Dylann Roof Trial in Charleston.

Alexis has been in the industry for more than two years and enjoys telling stories that are important to her viewers. She looks forward to exploring the Midlands and providing viewers with quality stories.

When she’s not getting you answers, Alexis likes to travel, try new food recipes, spend time with family, read, and listen to Beyonce’.
