Police Searching For Missing Man

Columbia Police are searching for a missing man. Department spokesperson Brick Lewis says Earnest Johnson was last seen August fourth. Lewis says they do not suspect foul play but they believe Johnson may be suffering from an undiagnosed mental illness. If you know where johnson is contact the columbia police department.

Columbia Attorney Running for Governor

The list of potential democratic nominees for governor is growing. Today Columbia attorney Dwight Drake announced that he will seek the nomination in 2010. Drake served on the staff of Governor Dick Riley in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Four other democrats are already in the race, and State Education Superintendent Jim Rex says he’s considering running.

SPARTANBURG (AP) — Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme expects four-time Pro Bowl receiver Steve Smith to play in the regular-season opener. Four Injured in Prison Fight

Four people were hospitalized today after a fight broke out at the federal prison in Edgefield. Linda Thomas with the Federal Bureau of Prisons says the fight started around 12:30 in the exercise yard and that staff immediately responded and the incident was contained.
