USC, Clemson Crack Top 15

Both major programs in the state of South Carolina are in the top 15 of this week's college football rankings. USC is 10th in the new Associated Press poll, 9th in the Coaches' poll. Clemson rockets up eight spots to 13th in the AP poll. The Tigers are 15th in the Coaches' poll.

No. 21 Clemson knocked off a ranked opponent for the second straight week as Tajh Boyd threw for three touchdowns and ran for another in a 35-30 victory over No. 11 Florida State on Saturday.

Clemson Baseball Head Coach Jack Leggett signed a new five-year contract, Athletic Director Terry Don Phillips announced on Friday. Leggett, who has served as head coach for 18 seasons (1994-11), signed a contract that will run through the 2016 season. It represents a two-year extension from his previous contract.
