Dallas Honors Fallen Officers at Memorial Service
WASHINGTON (AP) _ President Barack Obama travels to Dallas today to help bring healing to the city that’s mourning the shooting deaths of five police officers.
Obama will address an interfaith memorial service this afternoon, and the stunned city is also expected to hear from former President George W. Bush.
Last night in Dallas, more than 1,000 people gathered for a candlelight vigil for the five officers killed during a protest march.
Last Thursday, a sniper opened fire at a protest march, killing the officers and wounding 11 other people.
