Gamecocks, Rebels set for noon kick

Following the close of a three-game home stand this weekend vs. Tennessee, the Gamecocks learned Monday they will face Ole Miss at noon EST, 11 a.m. local, for their November 3 showdown in Oxford.

Former Gamecock and current Boston Red Sox outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. was named Most Valuable Player of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) Thursday night (Oct. 18) after Boston’s 4-1 Game 5 win over the Houston Astros.

No. 8 South Carolina women's soccer (12-2-1, 6-1-1 SEC) defeated Missouri (5-9-2, 2-5-1 SEC) 1-0 on Thursday night at Stone Stadium thanks to sophomore Luciana Zullo's first goal of the season and junior Mikayla Krzeczowski's 34thcareer shutout, a new SEC career record. 

Chris Silva named to Karl Malone Award preseason watch list

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced on Thursday the watch list for the Karl Malone Award, which honors the top power forward in college basketball.  South Carolina senior forward Chris Silva was selected to the 20-member list.  A national committee comprising top college basketball personnel determined the watch list.

Gamecocks picked by media to finish second in SEC

A panel of both SEC and national media members picked South Carolina to finish second in the 2019 Southeastern Conference women’s basketball standings. It marks the first time in five seasons that the Gamecocks have not topped the preseason media voting. The media also selected senior forward Alexis Jennings as a Preseason All-SEC selection.

Kickoff announced for Carolina-Tennessee

When the Gamecocks return from their off week, they will host Tennessee in their first home night game of 2018, kicking off against the Volunteers at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 27.

JBJ's double lifts Boston to tie ALCS

David Price was good enough, the Red Sox bullpen was even better, and Jackie Bradley Jr. delivered a go-ahead, three-run double off the Green Monster on Sunday night to lead Boston to a 7-5 victory over the Houston Astros and tie the AL Championship Series at one game apiece.
