West Columbia, S.C. (WOLO) – Springdale Police Chief Kevin Cornett is asking for the community’s help in identifying individuals involved in two separate robberies at the Corner Pantry Gas Station located in Springdale at 3280 Platt Springs Rd.

The first incident took place on June 23rd just before 3 am. Two individuals entered the store and one presented a pump shotgun as the two ordered the cashier to give them money. The cashier complied and the individuals then fled the location. The two were dressed in black hooded sweatshirts and had red bandanas covering their faces.

The second incident took place on June 26th at approximately 4:30 am. Two individuals entered the store and one presented a pump shotgun. The two ordered the cashier to give them money from the register. The cashier complied and both individuals fled the location. In this incident one individual was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, grey pants, and had a white mask covering the face. The other individual was wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and had a black mask covering the face.

These incidents do seem to follow a pattern that could indicate that they may be connected to other armed robbery incidents that have taken place in Lexington County lately.

Chief Cornett asks that anyone with information about the identity of the individual involved call the Springdale Police Department at 803-796-3160 or call CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or log onto www.midlandscrimestoppers.com and click the red “Submit a tip” tab.
