Two arrested in SCSU Shooting

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO) — Two people have been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting death at South Carolina State University. Jennifer Timmons with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division says 22-year-old Ray Alston, Jr. and a 16-year-old from Holly Hill have both been arrested and charged with murder. The teenager also faces a charge of possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Investigators say the two shot and killed a South Carolina State University student back on April 15, 2001 during a pre-arranged drug deal.
