Police: Boy shot in home as uncle unloads gun

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a 3-year-old boy has died after he was accidentally shot by his uncle as he unloaded a gun in a Greenville County home. Master Deputy Sam Cureton said the boy was not breathing when the deputy arrived at the home Wednesday morning two minutes after the shooting. The officer was able to revive the boy, but the coroner’s office says Kvonta Dodd died in surgery a few hours later at the hospital. Cureton says deputies continue to interview the uncle.
