SC employee killed in accident at NC Lowe’s store

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Authorities say a South Carolina man has died after a garage door fell on him as he worked at a Lowe’s home improvement store in Charlotte.

Police say 35-year-old Richard Thomas Yoost of Rock Hill, S.C., was working in the store’s warehouse area when a garage door struck him in the head around 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities say Yoost died later that morning at a hospital.

A spokeswoman for store would not comment on Yoost’s death. No other details have been released.
