Columbia police arrest 4 in pizza robbery killing
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Authorities have arrested four more men in connection with the shooting death and attempted robbery of a South Carolina pizza restaurant employee.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says the arrests were in connection with the June 3 shooting death of 35-year-old Steven Fowler of Irmo. Fowler was found shot in the chest in his car outside a Papa John’s Pizza in northeast Richland County.
Lott says the four men who were arrested on murder charges were armed with BB guns during the attempted robbery.
Last week, deputies charged 22-year-old David Wesley Watson Sr. with murder, attempted robbery and armed robbery in connection with the shooting.
It wasn’t immediately clear if any of the men had attorneys.
