G. Love, STYX, Trace Adkins on State Fair lineup

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The 2011 South Carolina State Fair has announced an eclectic mix of musical talent for the event in Columbia in October.

Performers announced Wednesday include rock-funk performers G. Love & Special Sauce, popular 1980’s band STYX and country music’s Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers. Trace Adkins, The Roots, Rodney Atkins, the Gaither Vocal Band and Skillet round out the lineup.

The fair is to run October 12-23. Tickets go on sale Aug. 1.
