SUMTER, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a Sumter man was shot to death during an argument outside a home.

Investigators told The Item of Sumter that 20-year-old Devontaye Boatright died at the hospital shortly after he was found Thursday in the road with gunshot wounds to the chest and stomach.

Sumter County deputies say 19-year-old Antauan June turned himself in shortly after the shooting. He has been charged with murder. It wasn’t clear if he had an attorney.

Investigators haven’t determined why June and Boatright were fighting.
