Authorities ID body as missing Aiken woman
AIKEN, S.C. (AP) — A body found in April has been identified as an Aiken woman missing since March.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division this week says agents used DNA to identify the body as that of 68-year-old Mattie Coleman.
Coleman disappeared from her home March 30 and was reporting missing a few days later.
Authorities still don’t know how Coleman died.
Aiken County sheriff’s deputies have been investigating the case but say they will need to know the cause of death before they can go further.
