SC family group wants candidates to discuss issues

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A faith-based group in South Carolina wants presidential candidates to discuss family issues.

Palmetto Family on Thursday is calling on candidates to make family concerns the focus of their campaigns. The group says the failure of families has a big impact on the state and the nation.

Palmetto Family is a faith-based public policy research foundation founded in the Upstate of South Carolina and based in Columbia since 1994. The group is associated with Focus on the Family, the organization founded by James Dobson in 1977.
