Woman’s body found in Lake Hartwell

ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — Anderson County authorities are trying to determine the cause of death for a woman whose body was found in Lake Hartwell.

Charlie King with the Anderson Technical Rescue Team says the body of 63-year-old Freda Partain of Anderson was found Monday afternoon.

Deputy Coroner Charlie Boseman says an autopsy is planned Tuesday to determine the cause of death.

Boseman says the woman’s son said she had gone to the lake around 2 p.m. Monday.

King says witnesses saw her on the dock, and later boaters spotted her body floating in the water.
