SC firm runs heavy metal band Metallica’s website

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — A Greenville business designs and operates the website for the heavy metal band Metallica.

WYFF-TV reports that Website Pipeline got the job last year after they were recommended to the band by another client.

Company co-founder Brian Seidel says getting to do Metallica’s website boosted morale in the fledgling company and brought it credibility.

Seidel says several of his employees are big Metallica fans and got to meet the band backstage at their recent show in Charlotte, N.C.

Seidel says Website Pipeline has 24 employees and should do about $3 million in business this year.
