‘Extreme Makeover’ log cabin begins SC-to-NC trip

CAMPOBELLO, S.C. (AP) — A log cabin specially built for an episode of the ABC show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” is getting ready to begin its 230-mile trip from South Carolina to North Carolina.

Workers at Blue Ridge Log Cabins in Campobello will hold a celebration Tuesday morning as the home starts its trip in pieces to Fayetteville, N.C.

The home will also stop at the company’s office in Columbia for a second ceremony later Tuesday.

Company officials say the log cabin will arrive at its new home in Fayetteville on Thursday, when the recipient will be announced.
