Man gets life without parole in Greenville robbery

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Greenville prosecutors say a man has been sentenced to life without parole after he was convicted of armed robbery and weapons possession.

Solicitor Walt Wilkins says a jury found 39-year-old Anthony Lounds guilty Wednesday.

Wilkins says Lounds robbed a man at gunpoint in September 2009, taking the man’s wallet cash and checkbook.

A day later, Wilkins says Lounds used the man’s checks at a grocery store and had the gun used in the robbery on him when he was arrested days later.
