Huckabee aide to help Santorum’s 2012 GOP bid

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The director of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s political action committee will help lead Rick Santorum’s presidential bid media efforts.
Hogan Gidley will continue as a consultant to HuckPAC, where he’s been executive director for more than a year.
Gidley will work for Santorum’s GOP nomination bid as a senior communications adviser with the Virginia firm BrabenderCox.
Huckabee said in a prepared statement Sunday that Gidley’s work for Santorum is no sign of an endorsement. Huckabee says he’s remaining neutral in the GOP primary contest for now.
Gidley is a former South Carolina Republican Party executive director and helped put on the 2008 first-in-the-South presidential primary.
