Man fatally shot in Fairfield County home invasion

BLAIR, S.C. (AP) — Fairfield County sheriff’s deputies say a 64-year-old man has been shot to death after someone broke into his home.

Chief Deputy Keith Lewis said Leon Wright’s sister found him dead Sunday morning in his house in Blair.

Deputies say Wright ran a small country store and lived by himself. He was last seen when he left the store for the day around 9:15 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators say no arrests have been made. They are asking the public to share any information they have about the killing.
