Man dies in Rock Hill house fire

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) — Officials say a man has died after a house fire in Rock Hill.

Officials say they were called to a home shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday and found a man inside.

He was taken to Piedmont Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The man’s name has not been released.

Spokeswoman Katie Quinn says two other people escaped the flames.

Quinn says the fire was contained in the kitchen. Damage is estimated at $55,000.
