4 adults arrested after SC children found in filth

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) — Police say they have charged four adults after five children were found last weekend living in a filthy Rock Hill home without power.

Officers were called to the home by a neighbor who complained residents at the home were trying to steal electricity.

Police say a boy yelled “it’s the cops” as officers arrived.

Authorities say they found rotten food in the house, the floors were covered with bugs and beer cans were scattered across the yard.

The Department of Social Services arranged for the children to stay elsewhere. They ranged in age from 3 to 12.
