SC man pleads guilty to making fake money

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — A 23-year-old South Carolina man has pleaded guilty to making counterfeit money on a computer.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports Saturday that Parish Gagum of Conway pleaded guilty this week in federal court in Florence.

The U.S. attorney’s office says Gagum made counterfeit $10 and $100 bills on a computer between March 2009 and May 2010. Gagum and another person used the fake money at businesses in Conway in April.

Judge Bryan Harwell will decide Gagum’s sentence.

He faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
