Billboard for missing NY teen up in Myrtle Beach
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — A new billboard is on display in Myrtle Beach seeking information about a New York teen who went missing more than two years ago.
The billboard was designed by Chad Drexel and is in a high traffic area near the U.S. 17 bypass.
Brittanee Drexel of Rochester, N.Y., was last seen leaving a Myrtle Beach hotel in April 2009.
Drexel says he’d like to have 10 more of the billboards.
The space was donated and the production of the billboard sign was handled by the Kristen Foundation, a non-profit for missing adults based in Charlotte, N.C.
Brittanee Drexel’s mother, Dawn, doesn’t like the new billboard. She says it will confuse people and directs tips to an organization other than the one she’s been working with.
