Joe Wilson recovering from possible Lyme Disease

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson had to miss a campaign event with Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann because he is recovering from an illness.

Wilson’s office said Thursday he is taking antibiotics to treat symptoms of Lyme Disease after contracting an illness while working in his yard.

Wilson is resting for a few days, but his spokesman says the five-term Republican plans to start his annual tour of his district Monday as scheduled.
