Suspended Receiver Craig Will Practice Thursday

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said suspended receiver Joe Craig will return to practice Thursday, but could face additional penalties, including suspension from games. Craig was suspended from football workouts by Swinney in June after the player’s involvement in an altercation with a female track teammate. University police said Craig and Marlena Wesh argued during a pool party that turned violent. Authorities said Wesh cut Craig’s arm with a small blade. Craig then hit Wesh with a towel rod, cutting her forehead. Wesh later told officers that Craig also beat her while she was on the ground. Neither Craig nor Wesh pressed charges. Swinney said Craig will face team penalties, although he has not said how many games the freshman might miss.
