SC woman pleads guilty to Christmas Eve death
GREENWOOD, S.C. (AP) — A 39-year-old woman has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after admitting she stabbed a woman found dead on Christmas Eve.
The Index-Journal of Greenwood reports (http://bit.ly/nHSHEZ ) that Tamika Yvette Eden of McCormick County pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of Rebecca Ann Holloway, who was found dead Dec. 24. Eden was charged with murder Dec. 30.
McCormick County Chief Deputy C.E. Gable says Eden admitted stabbing Holloway in her home. Gable says the stabbing followed an argument over a drug deal.
Gable says Eden is expected to testify against a 61-year-old co-defendant. No trial date has been set.
