5 children removed from filthy Rock Hill home

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say five children have been removed from a filthy Rock Hill home.

The Herald of Rock Hill reports (http://bit.ly/oYgSBn ) that 36-year-old Angela Baxter is charged with five counts of illegal conduct toward a child.

A police report says officers went to the home after getting a call from the father of two of the children.

The report says when officers asked one of the children about school, the girl couldn’t name her school or teacher.

Officers found rotten food in the refrigerator, dirty dishes in the sink, and clothes, trash and empty beer cans scattered throughout the house.

Baxter told police she didn’t live there.

Two girls, ages 6 and 8, were released to their father. Two teenage girls and an 8-year-old boy were released to their aunt.
