Local Businessman on Obama Jobs Plan: ‘It won’t work’

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — As President Obama sends his $447B new jobs creation bill, The American Jobs Act, to members of Congress, a local businessman tells ABC Columbia he doubts anything written in it will actually benefit his or other small businesses. George Roper with Roper Staffing agrees with only one of the three key areas the president is targeting in his new jobs plan to reverse a slumping economy. The plan promotes tax incentives and clean energy as ways to create jobs. Roper, who has been putting South Carolinians to work for three decades, is not impressed.
