One victim identified in triple fatal SC wreck
ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — Anderson County officials have released the name of one of three people killed in a wreck near Pendleton.
Deputy Coroner Charlie Boseman says 26-year-old Timothy Black Capell of Anderson died in the wreck early Sunday when a car hit a tree and caught fire.
Boseman says the other victims were a woman in her mid-30s and a child between the ages of 3 and 5. Boseman said he hoped to confirm the victims’ names Monday.
Highway Patrol Trooper Billy Elder says the car ran off the left side of the road and hit a tree. Elder says he’s not sure who was driving or how fast the car was going.
Thirty-two-year-old Meagan Woods of Anderson was in critical condition at an Augusta, Ga., hospital.
