SC Air National Guard has Sept 11 Columbia flyover

MCENTIRE JOINT NATIONAL GUARD BASE, S.C. (AP) — Two South Carolina Air National Guard F-16 jets are participating in a flyover of the state’s capitol city during a dedication of a First Responders Remembrance Memorial.

Guard spokesman Maj. Jim Roth says Sunday’s event is going to occur around 3 p.m. near the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

The Fighting Falcons will swoop over the city to honor the first responders and others who lost their lives during the New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania terrorist attacks 10 years ago, as well as the service men and women who died in the service of their country since that time.
