Spring Lake to unveil new branding campaign
SPRING LAKE, N.C. (AP) — The town of Spring Lake is trying to reinvent itself, starting with a new branding campaign.
The Fayetteville Observer reported (http://bit.ly/qhq4hb ) that a town logo and motto will be unveiled Tuesday during at Mendoza Park. Chamber President Mark Sullivan says the campaign is intended to take control of the town’s negative image.
Officials say the logo and motto will incorporate the town’s strong military ties. Spring Lake is in Cumberland County and is a bedroom community of Fort Bragg.
Fayetteville-based Smith Advertising developed the campaign. Company President Gary Smith says the campaign will tout Spring Lake as a destination for visiting military families and those who regularly do business with the Army.
Smith says the company has developed branding campaigns for other towns, including Pinehurst and Hilton Head, S.C.
