NC man convicted in shooting deaths of SC couple

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — A North Carolina man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the 2005 shooting deaths of an Horry County couple.

A jury deliberated just over two hours Wednesday before convicting 26-year-old Bruce Antwain Hill of Tabor City, N.C., of two counts of murder and first-degree burglary.

The victims, Diane and Charles Parker Sr., were found dead inside their home on April 12, 2005.

Circuit Court Judge Steven John sentenced Hill to life without parole on the murder convictions and 30 years in prison for burglary. Hill’s attorney did not call any witnesses during the trial.

Authorities charged Hill two years ago when a DNA sample taken while he was in prison in Tennessee linked him to the deaths.
