GE holds Greenville job fair for skilled workers

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — General Electric is holding a job fair as the company looks for machinists and welders for its gas turbine plant in Greenville.

The company is sending representatives Tuesday to the OneStop career center in McAlister Square.

GE officials say they are looking for about 40 full-time workers so they can make sure they have a full staff. The job fair is an informal event, letting candidates introduce themselves and learn more about the jobs available.

GE’s turbine facility in Greenville employs more than 3,000 workers.
