First of 4 SC seminars on women in politics on tap

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — A forum is being held in the Lowcountry for women interested in getting involved in politics as a candidate, a campaign worker or a political advocate.

The Southeastern Institute for Women in Politics is holding the forum Saturday at the Charleston School of Law. Those attending are learning about campaign management, fundraising, organizing at the grass roots level and using the internet and social media for campaigns.

Other forums are scheduled later this month in Conway, Columbia, and Greenville.
