Haley heads to Aiken to discuss her report cards

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is heading to Aiken to continue her town hall series talking about how legislators measured up to her agenda and what she wants to accomplish next year.

Haley’s town hall Wednesday night will be at Aiken City Hall’s Municipal Auditorium.

The governor’s report cards showed only 20 of 45 senators and 75 of the 123 representatives she graded were on the honor roll with A and B grades. A single Democrat in the GOP-dominated Legislature scored an A.

Haley is also talking up an agenda that includes cutting business taxes and creating a new job training program.

Haley launched the town halls Monday in Rock Hill and wraps them up in Florence on Oct. 18.
