Spurrier On Life Without Lattimore

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Steve Spurrier knows his team is dealing with distractions right now, but the Ball Coach says he’s not overly concerned about that because distractions don’t block and tackle. Spurrier addressed the media Tuesday for the first time since the Gamecocks learned star sophomore running back Marcus Lattimore would miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. “Obviously, the loss of Marcus is huge,” Spurrier said. “It’s huge for us, but we got to regroup and keep on playing.” Spurrier said Blythewood freshman Brandon Wilds will take Lattimore’s spot in the lineup. The Ball Coach hopes to have injured juniors Kenny Miles (wrist) and Eric Baker (ankle) back for USC’s next game, at Tennessee on October 29th.
