Man working on roof falls to his death in Seneca

SENECA, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a 51-year-old Westminster man has died after falling off a roof he was replacing in Seneca.

Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis said that William Randall “Randy” Rowland died at the hospital around 7 p.m. Thursday, about six hours after he fell 20 feet from the roof onto a concrete area.

Addis says Rowland and a friend were replacing the roof, and Rowland stepped off the edge as he marked a line.

Addis says he is declaring the death accidental.
