Pawleys Island man drowns in hot tub
PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (AP) — A 62-year-old man has drowned in a whirlpool bath outside his Pawleys Island townhouse.
Georgetown County Coroner Kenny Johnson says a maintenance worker at True Blue Plantation found Gerald Strickland in the Jacuzzi about 7 a.m. Friday. He says Strickland apparently got in the Jacuzzi Thursday night.
Johnson says Strickland had some health issues, but he died from drowning.
