Williamsburg opening $6 million county building
KINGSTREE, S.C. (AP) — Williamsburg County is opening a $6 million building in Kingstree to house various county departments.
The Morning News of Florence reported (http://bit.ly/vc9Ywu) that many county employees will move into the new administration building in January.
County Supervisor Stanley Pasley says the building will house administrative offices, with a separate structure for the county council chambers.
Councilwoman Jeannie Brown-Burrows of Hemingway says the new building will streamline business since many departments have been scattered in a number of buildings.
The new building includes the auditor, tax collector and treasurer.
