I-95 Repairs
SANTEE, S.C. (AP) _ Repairs to the bridge over Lake Marion on busy Interstate 95 in South Carolina have been completed about three weeks ahead of schedule. The state Transportation Department announced Thursday that the work was completed last weekend. It was originally expected to be finished in mid-November. Around-the-clock work began in September on the bridge to repair a deteriorating northbound lane. Northbound traffic was limited to one lane traveling 45 mph and causing heavy congestion at times. I-95 is the main north-south route on the East Coast linking Maine and Florida.
