SC law enforcerment, DEA sponsor drug take back
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Law enforcement agencies across South Carolina are teaming up with the Drug Enforcement Administration to collect unwanted or unused prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
On Saturday, agencies statewide have sites where people can drop off the medicine to keep it out of the hands of drug abusers and to keep it from polluting the state’s waters.
More than 60 local, county and federal law enforcement agencies statewide are hosting drop-off points.
It’s the third year the DEA has sponsored the event.
