Spurrier Hopes Passing Improves For Arkansas

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — It’s the other big SEC game this weekend–by a long shot–but it still means a lot to South Carolina. The #9 Gamecocks will have just their fourth top ten showdown in school history this Saturday at #7 Arkansas. Steve Spurrier noted at Tuesday’s weekly press conference how similar his team is to the Razorbacks. Both teams come into this week with 7-1 records. USC is in control of its own destiny to win a second straight SEC East division title. Arkansas still has a chance to win the SEC West. The 7:15 p.m. Saturday showdown on ESPN is heavily overshadowed this week by the 8 p.m. game in Tuscaloosa. For the first time ever in the regular season, SEC teams ranked #1 and #2 in the country face off when #1 LSU plays at #2 Alabama.
