Tourism is topic for summit set for Myrtle Beach
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — Everything from local tourism marketing plans to selling tourist destinations online is being discussed at the annual Tourism Marketing Summit in Myrtle Beach.
The Thursday meeting is sponsored by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Hosts 2011 Tourism Marketing Summit
The keynote speaker is Sarah Travis of Google. She’s discussing trends in online travel as well as the impact of social media and mobile advertising on the tourism business.
Myrtle Beach is the heart of South Carolina’s $14 billion tourism industry.
