$15K bond set for Ludwig on Greenville CDV charge
GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — The South Carolina man who avoided prison in a fatal Maserati crash that killed a Greenville homeowner has been arrested again and charged with criminal domestic violence.
Greenville County jail records show John Ludwig was being held Friday after a judge set $15,000 bond. It wasn’t clear if he had an attorney. Authorities say Ludwig hit his wife as the two argued about money Thursday night.
The 39-year-old former Furman University football player drove his speeding Maserati through a house in 2009, killing the homeowner as he watched television. Ludwig was sentenced to probation and community service after being charged with murder and reckless homicide.
Ludwig also faces a federal lawsuit alleging he’s hiding $2 million from a creditor he owes nearly $7 million.
