FCS Senior Scout Bowl to be held in Myrtle Beach
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — A college football all-star game is scheduled for Myrtle Beach next month.
The Collegiate Development Football League announced Monday that the FCS Senior Scout Bowl will be played Dec. 17 at Doug Shaw Stadium. It will feature 86 players from the NCAA’s Football Championship Subdivision in a North-South format.
The inaugural game was played last year in the New York City area.
Local business leaders see the game as a way to also attract visitors to the Myrtle Beach area, the heart of South Carolina’s $14 billion tourism industry.
The Collegiate Development Football League provides an outlet for 18- to 24-year-olds to continue playing football.
