Freshman SC congressman discusses federal regs

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Freshman South Carolina Rep. Tim Scott is traveling around his district to discuss what he sees as overreaching federal rules and regulations.

Scott is being joined by state and local business leaders on Tuesday as he makes stops in Summerville, North Charleston and Mount Pleasant.

Scott is calling the event his “Regulations Tour” and is visiting, among other companies, a trucking firm and a seafood company. Scott represents the 1st Congressional District along the state’s coast.
