Columbia police partner with salon for fundraiser

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Police in Columbia are having a hair-raising fundraiser.

On Wednesday, the police are partnering with Hair Designs to raise money for the Columbia Police Foundation.

Half of all proceeds from salon services will be donated.

Visits are expected from Santa Claus and McGruff the Crime Fighting Dog. Customers can get their picture taken with Santa for a $5 donation to the foundation.
