SC GOP congressmen appearing at Aiken event

AIKEN, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina’s Republican congressmen are spending part of their weekend in Aiken County.

The Aiken Standard reports (http://bit.ly/uf28Zr ) that the Aiken County Republican Party is bringing together U.S. Reps. Tim Scott, Joe Wilson, Jeff Duncan, Trey Gowdy and Mick Mulvaney for the organization’s Bronze Elephant reception on Nov. 19.

Each congressman is expected to speak for about 15 to 20 minutes, and Wilson is serving as a moderator.

The event also includes dancing, a seated dinner and an auction.
